Lesson Availability and Information

Below is my general availability for the week. Lessons are for Primary 4 to 6, and Sec 1 to 5. My lessons are usually 1 hour 30 minutes in length. Do reach out to me if you/your child is of a level not stated here (such as international students), or if your preferred timing is not listed.

I am closed on Sundays as well as public holidays. If you require assistance on those days (example: panicked last-minute exam SOS) please text me and I will reply at the earliest opportunity).

What is covered?

I alternate between composition and language use sections. I prioritise going through the paper in detail and move on to the next paper only after the current one is complete.

I may also slot in oral practice and other miscellaneous activities, such as presentations on certain topics, to train their skillsets for other sections such as oral and listening comprehension.

Where are classes held?

Sessions can be held either at my residence (239 Bishan St 22, Singapore 570239), or your own residence.
Please note that extra cost may be added if travelling significant distances is required on my end.

How many people are in the “small groups”?

I set a maximum of four (4). The cap may be adjusted depending on the abilities and dynamics of the class, but any increase will only be done after consultation with the existing students and their parents.

How do I sign up?

Contact me to get started! I will mostly likely request for you/your child to do an assessment or provide me a sample of the most recent piece of work. This is purely for me to gauge what I can do to assist you.

Do you do trial/online lessons?

This can be done. Do contact me for information.

Please note that added fees may apply if significant travel distance is required for the trial lesson.

I or my child will not be able to attend a class.

No worries, you will only pay for lessons attended. However, please try to inform me at least 6-12 hours in advance and avoid repeated absences.

Replacement classes are subject to availability, but I will assist with any catching up on their next session if scheduling a replacement session is not possible.

I may release your space in the event of prolonged or repeated absences without prior notice.

Is there homework?

Homework, if any, will usually consist of sections that were not completed in class or compositions.

It should not take more than 50 minutes to one hour.

Do you offer discounts/are the fees negotiable?

Please contact me separately regarding this.

Financial assistance is available for households with a gross monthly household income below $3,000 or a per-capita income below $750.

Fee Information

My usual rates are:

$60 per session for primary school;

$75 – 90 per session for secondary school.

Each session is 1 hour 30 minutes. Extra cost may be added if travelling significant distances is required on my end.

Financial assistance: Please inform me if your gross monthly household income is below $3,000 or per-capita income is below $750.

Lesson Termination

Please provide a notice period of at least two (2) weeks.

Safety Information and Guidelines

Please note the following for lessons conducted at my house (239 Bishan St 22):

The house is also occupied by my parents. There are no other external tenants present.

If your child requires immediate medical attention, they will be taken to the nearby clinics across the road at Blk 283 Bishan St 22.

Students waiting for their parents/guardian should wait at my place until they arrive.

Please declare all known food and/or drug allergies.

PRIORITISE YOUR OWN SAFETY. Do not jaywalk even if you are in a rush, or running late. Please use the provided pedestrian crossings in the vicinity.

I reserve the right to terminate the enrolment on disciplinary grounds, such as disruptive behaviour that causes disturbance or harm to others or themselves.
