Lesson Availability and Information

Lessons are for Primary 4 to 6, and Sec 1 to 5. My lessons are usually 1 hour 30 minutes in length. Below is my general availability for the week. Do reach out to me if you/your child is of a level not stated here (such as international students), or if your preferred timing is not listed.

I am closed on Sundays as well as public holidays. If you require assistance on those days (example: panicked last-minute exam SOS) please text me and I will reply at the earliest opportunity).

Lesson Information

What is covered?

I alternate between Paper 1 and Paper 2. I prioritise going through the paper in detail and move on to the next paper only after the current one is complete. I may also slot in oral practice and other miscellaneous activities, such as presentations on certain topics, to develop their language and critical thinking skills.

Where are classes held?

Sessions can be held either at my residence (239 Bishan St 22, Singapore 570239), or your own residence. Please note that an extra travel fee ($15 – $20) will be levied monthly if travelling is required.

How many people are in the “small groups”?

I set a maximum of four (4). The cap may be adjusted depending on the abilities and dynamics of the class, but any increase will only be done after consultation with the existing students and their parents.

How do I sign up?

Contact me to get started! I will mostly likely request for you/your child to do an assessment or provide me a sample of the most recent piece of work. This is purely for me to gauge what I can do to assist you.

Do you do trial lessons?

Yes, a complimentary trial lesson can be given. Do contact me for information. Please note that a $15 travel fee applies if travel is required.

I or my child will not be able to attend a class.

No worries, you will only pay for lessons attended. However, please inform me at least 12 hours in advance.

Replacement classes are subject to availability, but I will assist with any catching up on their next session if scheduling a replacement session is not possible.

Is there homework?

Homework, if any, will usually consist of sections that were not completed in class or compositions.

It should not take more than 50 minutes to one hour.

Do you offer discounts/are the fees negotiable?

Financial assistance is available for households with a gross monthly household income below $3,000 or a per-capita income below $750.

Fee Information

My usual rates are:

$60 per session for primary school;

$90 per session for secondary school.

Each session is 1 hour 30 minutes. An extra $15 – $20 per month (4 sessions) will be added if any travelling is required.

Deposit and Lesson Termination

A deposit of two (2) sessions worth is required. If you wish to terminate the tuition, this same amount is refunded after serving a notice period of two (2) weeks.

Safety and Security

Please note the following for lessons conducted at my house (239 Bishan St 22):

If your child requires medical attention, I may elect to take them to the nearby clinics across the road, at Blk 283 Bishan St 22.

Students waiting for their parents/guardian should wait at my place until they arrive.

Please declare all known food and/or drug allergies during the registration phase.

PRIORITISE YOUR OWN SAFETY. Do not jaywalk, even if you are in a rush. Please use the provided pedestrian crossings in the vicinity.

I reserve the right to terminate the enrolment on disciplinary grounds, such as behaviour that causes disturbance or harm to others or themselves.
